Western Center for Archaeology & Paleontology Museum (1)

Today we went to the Western Center for Archaeology & Paleontology Museum. This new museum houses the bones Steven helped uncover during the big dig for Diamond Lake in the years 1995 to 2000.This is the entrance to the Museum in Hemet, CA
The Museum is brand new! It just opened in October 2006.
What a great way to view the fossels at the entrance. You can rent headphones that tell about all the exhibits for only $2.00.
"Little Stevie" is the Mastodon that Steven found. It is displayed in the floor so you can see how it looked in the earth. If you double click on the photo it enlarges enough to read what's written. You can do this with any of the photos you want to enlarge.
This is another view of "Little Stevie".
